Fix slow speeds, no internet, or WiFi dropouts with a simple restart.
A router restart (also called power cycling) can resolve most temporary glitches, including:
Locate the power adapter connected to your router. Unplug it from the wall socket or the back of the router.
This allows all internal capacitors to discharge and the router to fully reset. Do not skip this step.
Reconnect the power cable. The lights on the router will start blinking.
Do not unplug or press any buttons. Wait until the internet/WAN light becomes solid green (or white).
Open a browser on any connected device and visit a website (e.g., google.com). If the issue persists, try connecting via Ethernet cable to rule out WiFi problems.
⚠️ Important: Avoid restarting your router more than once a day unless necessary. Frequent restarts can interrupt automatic firmware updates.
